(Junior) Controller

About the role
ValidSign is the leading European specialist in digital and legally binding signing, and part of Visma, the largest European supplier of business software. We are growing fast, with revenue running into the millions and a clear mission: digitalising the signing process for all of Europe. As our (Junior) Controller you become the financial backbone of a scaling SaaS business. You safeguard the numbers, deliver the insights management steers on, and help us work smarter every day with data and AI. You report to management and join Visma's European controllers network, giving you access to the knowledge, tooling and best practices of one of the continent's largest software companies.
What you'll do
- Monthly close: you are responsible for a timely and accurate monthly closing
- Management reporting: you build clear, reliable reports the business steers on
- Subscription management: you manage and monitor our SaaS subscriptions, ARR/MRR and related metrics
- Accounts receivable & payable: you keep the full AR/AP process firmly in hand
- Forecasting: you build and maintain forecasts that guide our growth
- Trend reporting: you spot developments and translate data into actionable insights
- AI-driven working: you use AI to automate processes, speed up analyses and raise report quality. AI is your default way of working, not an experiment
- European Visma controllers network: you collaborate with controllers across Europe and share knowledge and best practices
Who you are
- A completed degree in Business Economics, Accountancy, Finance & Control or similar (HBO/WO)
- 0-3 years relevant experience. Recent graduates with the right drive are warmly welcome too
- Affinity with SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, NRR) is a nice plus
- Strongly analytical, accurate and numerate. You work meticulously and deliver reliable work
- A curious, hands-on attitude: you want to improve and automate processes
- Enthusiasm to work with AI. You see AI as leverage, not a threat
- Good command of Excel; experience with BI tooling (such as Power BI or Looker) is a plus
- Good command of Dutch and English (we work in an international Visma environment)
